What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS)
"Sora, Sora, Sora! ENOUGH ABOUT SORA!" I kinda agree with Roxas there, it is always about Sora. Well after little backgroud, we won't be hearing much about Sora.
Kingdom Hearts, as we all know, begins on Destiny Islands. Sora, Riku, Kairi have grown up here all their lifes. And they are sick of it. So they decide to build rafts to go visit other worlds. Their plan fails when the night before they leave, the Islands are attacked by shadowy beings called "Heartless". The trio is sperated from each other and Sora drifts to Traverse Town where he meets Donald Duck and Goofy who were told by the King to find the "key" Later they find Riku who says that he is the real keyblade bearer and that Sora only got because Riku wasn't there. Forced to follow the "key" Donald and Goofy leave Sora. Even so, Sora chases Riku and after a couple battles later he gets the keyblade back and finds Ansem. Realeasing Kairi From his heart he follows Ansem and defeats him.

What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS: CHAIN OF MEMORIES: SORA)
Yeah I know, more Sora, but it must be told! After beating Ansem, and losing Kairi, Sora is trying to find Riku and King Mickey who were shut behind the door to darkness in the previous game. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, Sora is approched by a black-hodded figure who leads him, Donald, and Goofy, to a place called Castle Oblivion. Not suspisous at all huh? When they are inside they try to attack the black-hodded figure but realize that all the skills they learned before hand have been lost. Sora is given a card that displays Traverse Town. When Sora arives at Traverse Town, He is alone. Later, Donald and Goofy arrive with new clothes, like the ones in the previous game. They soon meet Leon, but this time, he doesn't remember Sora's name. Yuffie is the same way but, she knows Sora's name. This is the same with all of the other Disney worlds they visit. Somewhere along the way, Sora is defeating Organization XII members and forgeting more and more with every floor. Little does he know, that Namine is tearing out his memoires with every floor and replacing them with her own. Meaning that Sora thinks the girl he was always with (Kairi) is Namine. Somewhere along the way, he finds a strangly behaved Riku (In Dark Form). Along the way, he is chasing Riku to find answers and yells at Donald and Goofy for trying to help him with his memories. Even that little fight couldn't keep them apart, because after fighting the fake Riku, they come back and help him beat the crap out of Larxene, who had hurt Namine and the fake Riku. After the battle, Namine tells Sora about how she had been messing with his memoires and if they can get to the 13th floor, she can restore his memories. So they go through and beat Marliuxa and yadayada YAAH. Then Namine puts Sora, Donald, and Goofy in a capluse for a "year" to restore his memories. (the "" around year are there for a reason that I will explain later.)
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS: CHAIN OF MEMORIES: RIKU)
"This seems like a boring place to take a nap anyways!" My favorite KH: COM Riku line. Riku starts off from the B13 floor of Castle Oblivion. Just like Sora, Riku travels to different Disney worlds while fighting Organization members and the fake Riku. The only difference is that, in Riku's memories, the only beings he meets are the dark kind, except on Destiny Islands.
Somewhere along the way he meets up with King Mickey, who helps him along the way up until Riku faces the Ansem in his heart. After defeating Ansem, Riku and Mickey, put on the black Organization robes. When DiZ asks Riku if he chooses light or dark, Riku simply replies, "Neither, I take the way to Dawn."

What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS: 358/2 DAYS) Part 1
Ahh. As they said, the untold story of the Kingdom Hearts saga. Well, it was until 9/29/09. At least in America. It starts off on Day 255 with Roxas and Axel just talking on the top of the Twilight Town clock tower, eating Sea-Salt Ice cream (of course!). Then Roxas starts telling about his time in Organization XII, as far as he can remember, to Axel. Given that prompt, you are taken from Day 255 all the way back to Day 7. Which is the day where Roxas can first talk. Plus, that is the day that Xion joins the Organization as the 14 member. During Roxas' time in the Organization, He is sent out on missions to do any of the following: Defeating mass amounts of Heartless, a Giant Heartless, Collecting Emblems, Exploring a new world, or rescuing a fellow member. On one of the early mission's Roxas had with Xion, they are fighting a Darkside heartless, Roxas gets his keyblade knocked out of his hands and Xion is able to pick it up. A little while later, Xion isn't able to use the keyblade any more. So she does mission's with Roxas until it finally gets on Saix's nerves. So he allows them one more mission together. Before they start, Roxas gives Xion his keyblade so she can remember how to use it. This is one of the hardest mission's ever because Roxas, you, has to fight with a stick. Afterwards, Xion is able to use her keyblade again, not really a surprise considering the day (Day 96) was called "Xion's Keyblade".
Here is a little side note... about the "" around the "year" in Sora's KH:COM story. in KH:358/2 days, Axel doesn't go to Castle Oblivion until Day 22 and didn't get back till Day 50 so haha Sora was alsleep less than a year THEY LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS: 358/2 DAYS) Part 2
After that mission, Roxas doesn't see Xion very much except the daily ice-cream feast. On Day 118, Roxas finds a note posted by Saix saying, 'All missions are on hold for a vacation'. Roxas has no idea what a vacation is, since all he has done before is go on missions, so he asks Axel who says that he is just going to nap all day. Xion tells Roxas that she is going to be practicing with her keyblade so she doesn't lose it again. So, in light of what Roxas know how to do, he goes to Twilight Town to get ice-cream (whoo hoo.). There he finds Hayner, Pence and Olette (from KH2). Hayner was just practicing "Grandstander" and asks Roxas to try to beat his high score {witch is 0(lol)}! So yeah he sucks! So after you beat him, he admits you are good and lets you try again (and again and again and so on and so on) unless you want to stop. Afterwards, Roxas goes and gets ice-cream and Axel and Xion soon join him. A couple days later, Xion doesn't come up to the clock tower. Why? It is because she is mad about being beat by Riku, not to mention that Saix called her a mistake. Then when Roxas is done early with a mission, he thinks he sees Xion (p.s. see videos page and watch "Snarl of Memories") From then on, until she wakes up, Riku takes care of her. Which is ironic because he defeated her before (See Xion's Defeat)
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 DAYS) Part 3
Roxas playing KH:358/2 Days on a DSi (i would win!)
Ok, so days and days go by, you know same old same old Roxas does missions and stuff. During that time, Xion starts showing her true self to more and more people. While sucking power from Roxas. (See Roxas's Diary for complete info.) Xion is getting stronger. She finally decides to go with Riku and join together with Sora again. Roxas and Axel chase her and Xion and Axel get into the big brawl. Finally Axel takes Xion down and takes her to Saix who she escapes from and goes back to Riku (is something going on?) Riku then takes her to Namine, A girl who as Xion says "A blond version of me and that girl Sora is always with." After Xion and Namine talk, Axel appears. Him and Xion fight (See Xion and Axel Face Off) Axel RTC's carrying Xion once he returns, he collapses. Saix kicks him and takes Xion. (I don't know if Xion escaped from Saix or if he let her go but...) Roxas, angry at everyone for not telling him anything, leaves the Organization. (See Roxas leaves the Organization.) He then goes to the clock tower in Twilight Town to have ice cream (sea salt of course!) Xion joins him and then confronts him. (See USA Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Walkthrough (136 and 137) - Day 357 - Xion Final Battle (Parts 1 and 2)) Afterwards, (Part 2) Xion tells Roxas about Xemnas' plans for Kingdom Hearts and tells him to stop it. She then disappears and Roxas goes to set Kingdom Hearts free. He then has to Keyblades (The OathKeeper and The Two In One.) and fights Riku. (See Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Mission 93 Final Day.) Riku loses and unleashes the dark power in his heart and defeats Roxas. He then helps DiZ put Roxas into a fake Twilight Town until he can merge with Sora. (The ending is actually the First Day of Kingdom Hearts 2)
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS II)
Kingdom Hearts II begins one year after the events of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and starts where Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days ended. Sora, Donald, and Goofy have been asleep in suspended animation for the past year to regain their lost memories. Meanwhile, Roxas, the Nobody of Sora, is trapped in a virtual simulation of Twilight Town created by DiZ so that he may merge with his original self to restore Sora's power, done as part of DiZ's revenge on Organization XIII. DiZ's plans are threatened when Organization XIII's Nobodies, led by Axel, Roxas's former friend in the Organization, infiltrate the virtual town, but Roxas finally merges with Sora. Sora, Donald, and Goofy wake up in the real Twilight Town and meet King Mickey and Yen Sid, who send them on another journey. Their goal is to find Riku and stop the plans of Organization XIII, who control the Nobodies—the body left over when a person with a strong heart is turned into a Heartless. Sora also receives a new set of clothes that allow him to fuse with party members to gain special abilities. Afterward, Maleficent is resurrected and joins with Pete to continue her quest for power. Sora travels to many Disney-themed worlds, old and new, and resolves the troubles caused by Organization XIII, the Heartless, Maleficent and Pete, and local villains. Meanwhile, Kairi is kidnapped by Axel. During a visit to Hallow Baston, they again meet King Mickey, who reveals the true nature of Ansem, the antagonist of Kingdom Hearts. The Ansem whom Sora defeated was actually the Heartless of Xehanort, a student of Ansem the Wise. Mickey also reveals that Xemnas, the leader of Organization XIII, is the Nobody of Xehanort. Organization XIII's plan is revealed: they seek the power of "Kingdom Hearts", which is the sum of all the hearts that Sora released by destroying the Heartless with his Keyblade. Sora then revisits the worlds to solve lingering problems and new complications, while seeking a path to Organization XIII's base of operations. Throughout his endeavors, Sora is secretly aided by a mysterious hooded figure whom Sora believes to be Riku. Sora, Donald, and Goofy enter a passageway through Twilight Town and encounter Axel, who sacrifices himself to create a passageway to the World That Never Was, the headquarters of Organization XIII, with Kingdom Hearts looming overhead as a heart-shaped moon. Sora finds Kairi and Riku, whose appearance has been changed by the darkness to that of Xehanort's Heartless; he also reveals to Sora the nature of his connection to Roxas. King Mickey meets DiZ, who reveals himself to be Ansem the Wise. Ansem uses a device that dissipates some of Kingdom Hearts' power, but after a system overload causes the machine to begin a self-destruct sequence, he realizes the nature of the heart and apologizes to Sora, Riku, King Mickey, and Roxas for his mistake before the Kingdom Hearts Encoder explodes and obliterates him; the explosion also miraculously restores Riku to his original form.At the top of the Castle that Never Was, Sora and his friends battle Xemnas, who uses the remaining power of Kingdom Hearts to power his multiple forms. After Sora and Riku are separated from Kairi and the others, the two friends destroy Xemnas once and for all and are reunited with their friends at their home, Destiny Islands. The game concludes as Sora, Riku, and Kairi read a mysterious letter bearing King Mickey's seal, its contents hidden.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS: BIRTH BY SLEEP) Part 1
Birth by Sleep begins in the Land of Departure, where three Keyblade wielders and close friends—Terra, Aqua, and Ventus (Ven for short)—train to become Keyblade Masters under Master Eraqus. To achieve this rank, apprentices must take the Master Qualification Exam once they come of age. Terra and Aqua take this test together, but while Aqua passes the test, Terra is deemed unfit to become a Keyblade Master due to the abundant darkness in his heart. Afterward, a group of mysterious creatures called the Unversed begin to surface in other worlds, and another Keyblade Master, Xehanort, disappears without a trace. Terra is sent to destroy the Unversed and find Xehanort, who had earlier encouraged him to embrace the darkness in his heart if he desires the strength to become a Keyblade Master. Ven, meanwhile, is goaded into following Terra against Eraqus's wishes by Xehanort's mysterious apprentice Vanitas. Aqua is dispatched by Eraqus to survey Terra and keep him from falling into darkness, as well as to bring Ven back to the Land of Departure. Upon arriving in other worlds, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus encounter various Disney characters, new and old, fighting off hoards of Unversed along the way. Among the characters they meet is Mickey Mouse, apprentice of the sorcerer Yen Sid, who is on a mission to maintain balance in the other worlds. Terra ends up attracting the attention of several Disney villains, who offer him the whereabouts of Master Xehanort in exchange of assistance for their own dark agendas. Terra reasons that Xehanort is after the seven Princesses of Heart—maidens who lack darkness in their hearts—and encourages Aqua to help them strengthen the light in their hearts, hoping it will draw Xehanort out. However, Aqua and Ven grow increasingly concerned for Terra when they hear rumors of him committing sinister deeds throughout other worlds. The three briefly reunite at Radiant Garden, where Aqua meets Kairi, a young girl containing a strong and pure light in her heart, and helps strengthen her light. Aqua and Ven also confront Terra, who distances himself from them to keep them to safe increasingly dangerous dark powers as a result of his arranged fight with Master Xehanort's recruit Braig. Aqua tries to convince Ven to return to the Land of Departure, but he refuses until he is certain Terra won't fall into darkness. Terra and Aqua eventually find themselves at Destiny Islands where they encounter two young boys, Sora and Riku. Terra sees potential within Riku and deems him worthy of one day wielding the Keyblade, while Aqua senses strong ties with Sora and Riku to Ven and Terra, respectively. Ven, meanwhile, comes across Master Xehanort, who reveals his intentions to use Ven's heart to create a final Keyblade known as the Χ-Blade, something Xehanort says Master Eraqus had known all along. Ven returns to the Land of Departure to confront Eraqus, who tries to erase Ven to prevent Xehanort's plans from succeeding.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS: BIRTH BY SLEEP) Part 2
However, Terra arrives to protect Ven and attacks Eraqus, teleporting Ven to Destiny Islands. After Terra defeats Eraqus, Xehanort ultimately fells the Keyblade Master and tells Terra to go to the Keyblade Graveyard, leaving the Land of Departure to be consumed by darkness. At Destiny Islands, Ven once again encounters Vanitas and learns of his hazy past: Ventus was once Xehanort's apprentice, but was deemed too frail for Xehanort to use him as he intended, so he extracted the darkness in Ven's heart and used it to create Vanitas. As with Terra before him, Ven is instructed by Vanitas to go to the Keyblade Graveyard. Aqua, in the meantime, learns of Eraqus's demise from Yen Sid, who tells her to go to the Keyblade Graveyard as well. Terra, Aqua, and Ventus gather at the Keyblade Graveyard, where the remains of the mysterious Keyblade War are found. Master Xehanort appears with Vanitas and reveals his plan to use the Χ-Blade to unlock Kingdom Hearts and unleash the forbidden secrets of the Keyblade War onto the various worlds, as well as to seek out a new body adjusted to the darkness for his heart, having chosen Terra's body and cultivated his darkness to achieve this other goal. An epic battle ensues, with Xehanort freezing Ven and opening the path to Kingdom Hearts. In his rage, Terra unleashes the darkness in his heart, inadvertently allowing Xehanort to unlock his own heart and successfully transfer it into Terra's body, transforming him into the new Xehanort. However, Terra's sentiment continues to linger in his discarded suit of armor, which comes to life and defeats Xehanort. Meanwhile, Aqua tries to tend to Ven, but is weakened from fighting Braig before being knocked unconscious by Vanitas. Ven manages to unfreeze himself before Vanitas can kill Aqua and discovers his dark counterpart to be the source of all Unversed. Vanitas merges with Ven, possessing him and creating the Χ-Blade. Aqua awakens under Mickey's care, and the two fight the possessed Ventus while he battles Vanitas from within. Before the Χ-Blade can achieve its full power, Aqua shatters the Χ-Blade as Ven destroys Vanitas once and for all, though Ven's heart is lost in the process. The destroyed Χ-Blade unleashes a burst of light that consumes everyone present and scatters them to the corridors of space. Terra's sentiment remains in the Keyblade Graveyard, and the path to Kingdom Hearts closes. Mickey saves Aqua and Ventus and brings them to Yen Sid's tower, where Aqua learns that Ven has fallen into a deep sleep and will not awaken until his heart returns. Aqua brings Ven back to the ruins of the Land of Departure, where she discovers Master Eraqus's Keyblade and uses it to unintenetionally create Castle Oblivion from the ruins while making a room to keep Ven safe in.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS: BIRTH BY SLEEP) Part 3
After leaving Ven within the Chamber of Waking, Aqua goes to Radiant Garden to find Terra, only to encounter and battle Xehanort. During the fight, Terra briefly regains control of himself and attempts to unlock his own heart again, his body sinking into darkness. Aqua dives into the darkness and saves Terra from disappearing, but ends up getting trapped in the Realm of Darkness and beginning a journey to return to her friends. Xehanort, losing his memories as a result from Terra's actions, is discovered by Ansem the Wise, ruler of Radiant Garden, and becomes his apprentice alongside Braig as they begin Master Xehanort's true path. Finally, Ventus's wandering heart finds its way to Sora, merging with the young boy's heart. An unlockable secret ending shows Terra's and Master Xehanort's hearts lying dormant in Xehanort's body, waiting to see which will control it in the end, with Eraqus's heart revealed to be sealed within Terra's. Years later, after the end of Kingdom Hearts II, Aqua encounters Ansem the Wise in the Realm of Darkness. Ansem, who had survived the explosion of his Kingdom Hearts Encoder with few of his memories remaining, reveals to Aqua the Heartless' attack on the Worlds and of Sora, who prepares to set out on another journey after finishing Mickey's letter to help all of those whose hearts are connected to his own. Kairi returns her lucky charm to Sora and tells him "Hurry back" as the game ends
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded) (From the Game) Destiny Islands
Destiny Islands: Two grand adventures had reached an end and, thanks to Sora and friends, the worlds were once again at peace. Jiminy had kept a record of their journeys in two journals, but one day... Something was amiss. The first journal, which ought to contain only one line after being erased along the way, now contained a new, mysterious message: "Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it." Determined to trace the message's origin, Mickey and company decided to digitize the journal and analyze its contents. Just because the pages were blank didn't necessarily mean the journal was empty. Sure enough, it still contained a record of Sora and the others' travels, which could then be converted to digital versions of each world they had visited: a "datascape." Now they could trace that message - right? Wrong. Glitches-"bugs" in the datascape had made the data impossible to decipher. The only solution now was to tackle the bugs directly from inside the datascape. But how could they do that from the outside world? Almost instantly Mickey thought of Sora-but not the real Sora. Surely, since Jiminy mentioned him in his writings, there must be a "Data Sora" who could help them out from inside the datascape. Sora rose to the challenge. His first task: to explore (unbeknownst to him, the digital version of) his home, the Destiny Islands. Weird blocks filled the beach and a guy in a black coat had been seen lurking about. The guy in the black coat eventually led Sora to the "Keyhole" and beckoned him inside, to a strange place where an enormous adversary was in the process of laying waste to his home by creating even more glitches. Back in the real world, Mickey and friends watched Sora prevail, only to be swept away in a maelstrom of data. At once, they noticed a new entry in the journal: "There are more hurts than the one you have just undone." And though the Destiny Islands data should have reverted to what Jiminy wrote, the scene they saw next-Sora's friend Riku opening the door to darkness-coudln't have been a flashback. None of them had seen it happen.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded) (From the Game) Traverse Town
Traverse Town: After defeating the adversary within the Destiny Islands' Keyhole, Sora was carried off by the resulting storm of data and next awoke in Traverse Town. Blocks filled its streets: more glitches. At the request of a man named Cid, Sora agreed to look for Huey, Dewey, and Louie. The triplets had eagerly gone off to investigate the town's bizarre behavior, and no one had seen them since. Sora scoured the town, battling Heartless as he went, and thankfully found all three of the boys in one piece. And speaking of pieces, the triplets had located three fragments which united with a fourth to form another Keyhole. Inside the Keyhole was a strange dimension which messed with Sora's own dimensions. Undeterred, however, he pressed on, and finally defeated the bug responsible for all the Traverse Town glitches. Meanwhile, back at Mickey's castle, the journal was acting funny again. First, the same message: "There are more hurts than the one you have just undone." Then, they saw a record of Pluto which Jiminy hadn't recorded. Before they could ponder this, Heartless attacked-inside the castle! Shocked, Mickey and company tried to rush to their friends' aid, but the door wouldn't budge. Someone, or something, had locked them in the room.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded) (From the Game) Wonderland
Before he knew it, Sora had arrived in Wonderland. Perhaps defeating the cause of Traverse Town's glitches and mending the hurt in one world somehow opened a pathway to the next. Whatever the case, he was where he was. As for Mickey and company, they were still trapped within one of Disney Castle's rooms, able to watch over Sora but not do much else. It was not long before Sora crossed paths with a girl who could not remember anything-not even her own name. According to the Cheshire Cat, bugs had jumbled the memories of all Wonderland's denizens. By quite literally giving her an Inkling of what she'd forgotten, Sora was able to learn the girl's name: Alice. Alice claimed to have seen the Keyhole, but frustratingly enough, could not recall where. With effort, Sora hoped to restore enough of Alice's memory to find the Keyhole and defeat the source of the glitches inside. He set to work, and despite meeting the guy in the black coat, was left unhindered. Several Inklings later, Alice's memory did indeed return. But before she could lead Sora to the Keyhole, the Queen of Hearts put both of them on trial. The Queen, too, had lost her memory, and decided she'd found the culprits. Sora wove his way past the Queen's card soldiers and rushed through the Keyhole. He vanquished the enemy inside, restored everyone's memories, and put Wonderland back to normal. (Well, as normal as it had ever been.) But it was too soon to relax; the guy in the black coat was back. Sora ran after him, darting this way and that. Finally, he crashed through a certain door and found himself-where, of all places? Incredibly enough, the same room as Mickey and the others! They had thought they were watching Sora from the outside world, but some time ago they-the whole room, in fact-had been "imported" into the datascape. They also learned the identity of the guy in the black coat. While the boy beneath the hood looked just like Sora's best friend, he wasn't the real Riku, but rather a digital receptacle for all the data recorded in Jiminy's journal. However, while "Data Riku" was chosen to safeguard the contents of the journal, he was not privy to all its secrets; even he had no idea what "their hurting will be mended when you return to end it" could possibly mean. This was why he decided to import Mickey and the others, and why he had been guiding Sora by giving him hints along his journey. Mickey and the others asked their new ally how to get back to their castle. But before Riku could reply, someone tried to break into the datascape, severing the link between it and the real world. To secure a route home for Mickey and his friends, Sora would have to bash bugs in yet another world.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded) (From the Game)Olympus Coliseum
Outside Olympus Coliseum, Sora met Phil, who was quite worried. There was something very wrong with the Coliseum, but more importantly, Phil's friend Hercules had ventured inside to investigate and still not returned. Bugs had twisted the whole Coliseum into a massive labyrinth. Thanks to the Keyhole, Sora was able to find a way in, but the glitches changed his powers and forced him to adopt a radically different approach to fighting. Thankfully, Sora was able to confront and solve these problems, and eventually caught up with Hercules. The two decided to join forces and gang up on the glitches together. All the while, Hades, Lord of the Dead, had been plotting ways to use this strange turn of events against Hercules. His first idea: sweet-talking a swordsman named Cloud into striking Sora and Hercules down. His second idea: betraying Cloud, by taking a potshot at all three of them while they were distracted. Understandably displeased, Cloud decided to cast his lot with Sora and Hercules instead. The trio foiled Hades' schemes and put an end to the Coliseum's glitches. But Sora would not be able to rest easy for long... In his path stood Pete, who had sided with the forces of darkness. It seemed he was the one who had entered the datascape uninvited and caused Mickey and friends' only way home to close. Sora chased Pete into a new world.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded) (From the Game) Agrabah
Whatever Pete's reasons were for invading the datascape, Sora had to go after him. He arrived in a desert city called Agrabah, where he met a young man named Aladdin and agreed to help him look for a woman, Jasmine. He soon found her in dire straits. Jafar, the royal vizier, had his sights set on her because she was princess of Agrabah. The glitches provided just the sort of opportunity Jafar needed to seize the throne. Jafar, meanwhile, was having a very similar conversation with Pete, who handed him a magic lamp. While this lamp was not THE lamp-Pete had exploited bugs to fabricated it-it still held tremendous magical power. Unaware of any of this, Sora led Jasmine back to Aladdin, who had something to give her. He had stumbled across this item by accident ina cave in the desert, and felt certain it would help them thwart Jafar's schemes. But at that very moment, Jafar appeared, kidnapping Jasmine and using his false lamp's special powers to stop time for all Agrabah. Everyone in the city froze in place Sora, who was apparently immune to the spell. As if that weren't bad enough, Jafar's lackey Iago nabbed Aladdin's mystery item-the real lamp-and flew off. Sora went after him, avoiding the phantom Jafars in the way, and reclaimed the lamp. A rub or two later, a blue and boisterous figure emerged from within the lamp. With Genie's help, Sora was soon on his way to the cave where Jafar was hiding out. Cornered, Jafar used his false lamp to transform into an all-powerful genie. A fight ensued, but fortunately, with great effort, Sora managed to turn the tables on Jafar and imprison him within his own lamp. Sora was still breathing a sigh of relief when the evil fairy Maleficent appeared. Before he could even react, she had knocked him to the ground and destroyed his Keyblade. Now he was in trouble. Thankfully, Mickey and Riku came to the rescue just in time. Pete was on the scene too, and explained that he had been sucked into the datascape at the same time as the rest of them. A brief look around convinced Pete this strange realm was ripe for mischief-making, so he called Maleficent inside, too. As for Mickey and the others being stuck here-well, that was all part of the plan. Maleficent knew nothing about data, but she knew a world waiting to be conquered when she saw one. She took Riku prisoner and vanished, and Mickey went after her alone. With no Keyblade to fight with, Sora had been left behind.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded) (From the Game) Hollow Baston Part 1
With his best friend in Maleficen’t clutches and his only weapon, the Keyblade, shattered, Sora felt powerless. All the same, Riku needed him. Heedless of the danger, he marched off to Hollow Baston. Bare-handed, it was a wonder he made it past all the traps and gadgets and arrived at the inner reaches of the castle, where his friends Donald and Goofy rushed to his side. All for one, and one for all. Sora, Donald, and Goofy were a team again. But when Pete showed up and attacked, Sora still had no weapon, and his two friends were taking a beating. He was helpless again... Or was he? With all the heart he, as data, wasn’t supposed to have, Sora wished for his friends to be safe, and a new Keyblade appeared in his hands; love for his friends had given him power. Pete fled into the Keyhole. Sora went after him, and whom should he face on the other side of the Keyhole but Riku. Bugs had taken control of Riku’s mind, and now he was under Pete’s control. In the middle of the fight, Riku felt the last of his free will slipping away, and knew the bugs would soon take full control. He asked Sora to erase him, bugs and all, before it was too late. Sora managed to stop Riku, knocking him out in the process. The only was to save his friend now was to dive into Riku’s data and debug him from the inside, and Sora was determined to succeed.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded) (From the Game) Hollow Baston Part 2
To save Riku, Sora had plunged into the sea of zeroes and ones inside him, only to find his friend fighting a losing battle against the bugs seeking to take control of his mind. Riku entrusted Sora with certain data. The unidentified data had been stored deep within Jiminy’s journal-but it wasn’t Jiminy who but it there. Someone else had added it after the fact, and it might never have surfaced if not for Sora’s debugging. Analyzing this extra data might answer their questions about the journal’s mysterious behavior. Riku told Sora to take it and escape; he would stay behind and erase himself, taking all the bugs with him. Naturally, Sora refused. He would debug his friend personally before he’d give up on him. Since Riku’s data was the same as the journal data itself, Sora was confronted once again with each of the worlds he’d visited. These bugs were powerful, and the glitches worse than ever. But even though his powers were put in check, Sora eradicated the bugs bit by bit, his journey punctuated by memories he shared with Riku. At last, he came face to face with a bug that looked just like his friend. But Sora would not be fooled. The memories he’d seen along the way had given him the courage he needed to defeat the illusion and save his friend. But he was not safe yet. Someone on the outside was interfering, causing Sora’s only way out of Riku to close. he raced toward the exit before it was too late. The culprit, it turned out, was Maleficent. She had had enough of Sora’s heroics and , intending to cut him out of the picture once and for all, used her magic to transform into an enormous dragon. Luckily, Sora prevailed. With Maleficent no longer obstructing the way, Sora was able to escape, while Mickey and the others made it home to Disney Castle in the real world. But then Riku and Sora presented them with some unexpected sad news. Now that the journal had been debugged, it would go return to its previous state before the glitches appeared. In other words, for Data Sora and the others in the datascape, this journey would never have happened. Still, Sora knew that even if his memories inside Jiminy’s record were reset, the time he spent with Mickey and his friends would always live on in their memories: the greatest record of them all. It was time to say good-bye... But just then, a massive bug hiding in the journal root data activated. It was trying to erase the whole journal! They could stop it if they locked the data immediately. One problem: Maleficent and Pete were still inside the datascape. If they were locked in, and attempts to contain the massive bug failed, they would be deleted along with the rest of the journal. Sora couldn’t allow that to happen. He rushed to their rescue and faced off against the root bug: his own Heartless. Jiminy had written about the time Sora turned into one, and darkness had made that data grow strong. Every time Sora defeated his Heartless, it returned. He was ready to give up when someone extended a helping hand. It was Mickey. He had come back to the datascape! They joined forces and defeated the bug, and Pete and Maleficent were able to return safely to the real world. Sora and Mickey said their final good-byes, and their adventures in the datascape seemingly came to a close.
What Has Happened? (KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded) (From the Game) Castle Oblivion
But what about that mysterious message in Jiminy’s journal? They never did figure it out. “Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it.” Who could have written it? The answer, sure enough, lay in the “extra data” Riku had found: secret data that had been added to the journal by an outside party. Now that the journal was spic and span again, they could explore the unknown world within. Mickey’s first thought was to put Data Sora in charge of exploring. But Sora had been reset-returned to his original state-so Mickey decided to return to the datascape and guide Sora personally. Sora had no recollection of meeting Mickey, but felt a strange tugging at his heart, and decided to help this “stranger” after all. But when Sora reached the unknown world they’d set out for, Mickey was gone. Standing before Sora instead was a figure in a black coat. Here within “Castle Oblivion,” he explained, rested the truth. He bade Sora proceed further into the castle and gave him a card he claimed would create “illusions.” And when Sora used that card, who should appear but his friends from back home! But these were just phantoms molded from data in the journal, not the real people he knew from the Destiny Islands. Stranger still, no sooner had he said his farewells than he completely forgot who it was he had met. All he knew was that he’d lost memories of people he cared about-and that emptiness in his heart soon filled with hurt. Sora continued using cards, meeting people he couldn’t remember, then forgetting them again when he said good-bye. Each encounter left him hurting more, but he knew the pain was something he needed to hold on to. Why? Because the heart remembers longer than the mind. Memories can fade, but our hearts always remember how it felt to have those people with us. We hurt for what we lost, but that hurt is hope we can remember again. The figure in the black coat thought that was a laugh. What fool would hold on to pain that can never be healed, let it fester and grow inside him until his heart succumbed to darkness? If you can’t remember it, let the memory go, he warned, and vanished once again. Sora was still standing there, anguished, when he heard a voice. It was Mickey, delivering a message from Sora’s friends. Sora heard Donald and Goofy call out to him. He couldn’t put names to the voices, but something about them filled his heart with warmth. It was love, something he could never forget and never replace. His mind was made up Forgetting people you care about hurts, but if you care about them, you will remember them again. Until then, you have to carry the pain, and know the day will come when your hurting will be mended. The figure in the black coat challenged Sora to a fight, as if testing him. As they clashed, Sora realized his opponent was hurting too. He could feel the pain as though it were his very own. Victorious, Sora learned the truth. The figure in the black coat was another illusion made out of data. His task: to see if Sora was ready to accept hurt as a part of life. Now that his role was done, he quietly faded away. Waiting for Sora in the deepest reaches of Castle Oblivion was a girl, Namine. He couldn’t recall having ever met her, but still, just being around her felt strangely familiar. According to Mickey, Namine had touched Sora’s memory in the past. Deep down inside, she explained, she had found hidden memories. But they didn’t belong to Sora; they belonged to other people connected to him. One day these memories would need to be called to the surface-but they were a tangle of terrible hurt. To face those memories unprepared would be enough to break even Sora. She decided, ultimately, to add the memories to the data in Jiminy’s journal. The mysterious message-”Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it”-appeared as a result. So did the bugs. But now Sora had braved the datascape and resolved to face whatever pain may come. He was ready to confront the truth. The memories showed him a series of people... They were people he needed to save. Mickey bid Data Sora farewell and returned to the outside world. Back at Disney Castle, he began a letter to the real Sora, Riku, and Kairi. They needed to know the truth. The door to a new journey was set to open.
