As RisXch, Lerxty, and Ukxel were on their mission, ChrisPx, Newarxd, Kixcn, and I sat in the couch room, doing nothing. I sat down on the couch with a pad of paper, drawing as best I could while thinking about the missing people. Kixcn was sound asleep next to me, snoring loudly.
“I hope they’ll be all right over there.” I said subconsciously.
ChrisPx snorted. I looked at him sideways.
“What?”
“It’s like you actually care about him.” He replied. I was horrified.
“What! Do you mean you don’t care about your own teammate?!” I asked in revulsion.
“Us nobodies don’t feel, Oulixia. You should know that by now.”
I looked down at my hands in my lap. “Of course I know that…” I mumbled. “But, still. Even if I am pretending to care, it doesn’t feel like it.”
Newarxd looked at me with interest. “ Maybe, if possible, you still have a piece of your heart left.”

“Alright, team,” announced ChrisPx when RisXch and the others still hadn’t returned home. “I think it is our time to turn in…”
“Geez,” I muttered under my breath.
“Eh hem. What did you say?” ChrisPx asked me, a resonance of cockiness in his voice.
“ Oh, er…” I stuttered, “n-nothing, ChrisPx…”
“Really? ‘Cuz, I could’ve sworn I heard you say something.”
I’d had enough. I stood up, looking as menacing as I could.
Newarxd started to get up, but Kixcn held him back.
“Best not to get in her way when she’s mad like that. Could get ugly.” He explained.
“This is what I said, ChrisPx,” I said through my teeth, “I said: geez, he sounds…like…my…mom.”
“Hm. You sound cocky talking like that, kid.” ChrisPx retaliated, also getting up.
Everyone else got up and backed up the chairs so that they wouldn’t be in the middle of our fight.
ChrisPx smiled and summoned his throwing stars in each hand. “I have yet to see you fight, kid.
I grimaced. “Stop calling me kid, ChrisPx. I’m no younger then you are.” My face was searing with anger now. The room suddenly became filled with the smell of ozone.
ChrisPx was the first to attack. He yelled as he jumped in the air, throwing multiple stars at my head. As a shield, I cast up a barrage of static, stopping every star in its course. The stars fell at my feet in a heap. I picked them up and looked at them, admiring ever little detail. I looked up and smiled.
“Nice,” ChrisPx chuckled, “using defense without summoning your weapon. But I can do better.” He then pulled out a small rubber ball out of his sleeve.
I looked at it with a confused expression.
“This is a bomb, but, unlike my stars, it’s rubber.” He explained, while tossing it towards me. It rolled to my feet and hit my boot. Before I could react, it exploded.
The explosion rang through my head for the rest of the night. When the bomb exploded, it knocked me to the floor and out, but not before I delivered at least a thousand volts to ChrisPx’s arm after I jumped at him.
The moment the explosion happened, Risxch was right out side the hangar. He had come running when he heard it. When he saw me on the floor, he looked at Kixcn for an explanation.
Kixcn replied, “Oulixia got mad at ChrisPx.”
