I took a breath and then heaved myself over the gate, landing soundlessly on the other side. As I ran to Xion, I looked towards the way the man exited, and my breath caught in my throat.
The man had apparently stopped when he heard me land and run to Xion. I slowly stood up and squared my shoulders towards him. I could sense his overwhelming emotions. He didn’t have many, just a little confusion and a lot of confidence, but it was so strong it made my head spin.
I didn’t let it slow me down.
“Who are you?” I asked the man.
He looked me up and down before answering. “My name is Riku.”
He then turned to leave.
“Wait!” I yelled after him.
Riku stopped. “What?”
I was about to do something that I know Risxch wouldn’t like.
“my name is Oulixia,” I began, “and I’m also a Nobody.”
The alarm I felt coming from him jolted me. The strong man I saw him as before was gone.
“Don’t worry!” I said quickly, “I’m not part of the organization. I’m part of an elite group of Nobodies who believe that, what Organization VII is doing with Kingdom Hearts, is wrong.”
I paused a moment. His emotions turned into relief and admiration.
“I, um…” I hesitated, “I also have…a Keyblade”
“Really…?” Riku replied. He was genuinely intrigued. “May I see it?”
I was taken back by his outspoken question, but I didn’t refuse. I summoned my Keyblade, which I call The Heart’s Spark.
Riku smiled.
“I was wondering, um, Riku, if, since you know if a Keyblade is fake or not, is…mine?” I looked into his eyes, and I felt a twinge of recognition.
Riku chuckled. “No, Oulixia, it’s not. Don’t worry about it.”
He then turned to leave.
I dropped down to Xion and I felt him looking at me. I looked up just in time to see him take a piece of cloth and wrap it around his eyes. His emotions told me that he also recognized me.
